Signature cruise

Waikīkī above. The ocean below. One considered perspective.

Illuminate creates a threshold between two views: the Waikīkī horizon around you and the purpose-built glass-bottom perspective beneath you.

Not a boat. A portal.

REEF CONTEXT · SIGHTINGS NEVER GUARANTEED
South-shore reef life

The reef is the itinerary. Wildlife writes the moment.

Departing Kewalo Basin Harbor, Illuminate is designed to look toward Oʻahu’s south-shore reef country, including Horseshoe Reef. Every outing is an aim to meet the living reef—not a promise of a sighting.

Conditions may reveal honu, tangs and butterflyfish, wrasses and goatfish, parrotfish and humuhumu. Seasonal humpbacks may also be seen in Hawaiian waters during their winter migration; route, visibility and wildlife always vary.

The science of the glow

The reef changes after sunset.

Move your cursor across the water to preview how Illuminate’s confirmed 20,000-lumen system can reveal the reef below. The experience is not currently ticketed, and nature decides what appears.

  • Sunset Cruise

We went on a boat tour with Illuminate Waikiki, and it was an absolute 10/10 experience! The vessel itself is massive, incredibly spacious, and very comfortable. What makes it extra special is the glass bottom right in the middle of the boat, which is easily accessible to everyone on board. Watching the sunset over the water from that view was gorgeous and breathtaking.

  • Sunset Cruise

Sunset Cruise with Illuminate Waikiki = instant highlight of my time in Hawaii. From the second we boarded, the crew was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly loved what they do. They made sure everyone felt taken care of the whole way out. The real magic is the glass bottom. Add in the sunset over the water, and it's honestly one of the best things I did in Hawaii.
